The Asbury Mustangs beat the Overruns 6-4
We came out fast and furious from the start.
Doreen played 1B and was excellent, she caught all of the balls and made a lot of the outs for us. Watch out Giambi (she’s
the female mvp!!) Nate pitched and did a great job!! Luckily he didn’t hit any batters. He’s the male mvp. Tom
played shortstop, Mike was centerfield, Carly leftfield, Brian L rightfield, Debra was short centerfield, Angela catcher and
I played second. Everyone was hitting great and fielding exceptionally well.
Our Angela looked awfully cute in the catcher’s mask. The first “stand up” catcher I ever seen, go Angela.
I took a ball in the leg to save the other team from getting on base, anything for my team!! The umpire tried to rush the
game a little too much in the end but we’ll forgive him since we won. Oh and don’t let me forget the cheering
section……Brandon and his wife, Yin (tax dept) and Debra’s husband. Yes Brandon is on the injured reserve
list until further notice. But he works well as an observer, cheerleader and hey, lets not leave out comedian!!!
