It wasn’t pretty last night. CGI played a very good game. Unfortunately they beat us 16-5, even the best of teams have to lose at one time or another.

I have highlights to give you (yes we did make some good plays). Let’s start first with our MVP, Brandon, with a homerun and a double. Brandon is a solid hitter. His homerun went into the dugout of the field across from us. Needless to say, they played their outfield way out when Brandon got up.

Then there was the slide George made playing shortstop, laying on the ground like the pro’s and throwing to first, almost got it to the first baseman. I thought it was Jeter out there.

Not sure which of these 2 plays impressed me the most, Tom caught a ball at 3rd base and threw it to Bryan Hanlon on 1st, the ball was high, Bryan jumped up, caught the ball, landed on first and made the out. Bryan, you might think about basketball with those jumps! And then there was Tom’s hit where he rounded 1st and started for 2nd, they threw the ball in and Tom was a sure out until………….he slid into 2nd and the 2nd baseman, SAFE!!

Gail and Darlene made their first appearances, Gail had some nice hits that they robbed off of her and when Darlene hit a foul ball but took off running, well, I never seen anyone run as fast as she does.

Myself, I had a base hit that turned into a double bringing Brian Lueken home. One of our players is batting 1000, can you guess who? Congratulations Keith for being 10 for 10!!!!

Our record now is 2-1-1 and next Thursday we play Weidlinger Associates.
