Another well played game by the Mustangs yesterday. And they sure do make me proud to wear the red and black shirt!!!

Unfortunately the game ended in a tie with a score of 16-16. We dominated Lava Trading until the final inning where unfortunately their girls had some surprising hits that helped them tie the game.

So let’s get to the big news, who made MVP……as hard a decision as this always is, Keith gets MVP this week. Keith pulled a muscle in the first inning and had a hard time walking YET he pitched a great game. Way to go Keith!!!! With that he also got some nice hits (he needed to since he had to hobble to first base, he did hobble quickly).

Brandon played his first game yesterday and what a hit he got. A nice solid homerun that landed at the other end of the field (it didn’t roll there) and this is a 3 field baseball field. Nice Brandon!! (Gordon, don’t worry, we made sure Brandon didn’t get hurt so he could come to work)

Their pitching wasn’t great, unfortunately a lot of walks from a top batters. But we managed to pull nice hits anyway. Brett, Mike, Keith, Brandon, Brian (Jack) and Doreen had nice hits!!!

Debra had a nice play at 2nd to get the batter out at first.

Karen Burke was there for her first game, her position was catcher. She did a great job!! It’s a lot of work back there. And she had to make sure she got the ball back to Keith without making him move too much.

Karen and I waited patiently and got our walks to first base (we did want the good pitches so we could try for homeruns) and that 3rd base coach (my boss) did a great job of having me tag up when the fly was hit so I could go in for a run. Thanks boss!

We had Doreen on first and she plays that position great ever time!!! Even on those bad throws, she stretches and catches them without taking her foot off of the bag and gets that out all the time. Debra and I both played second, Carly at short and the coach Tom R on 3rd, , coach robbed one of the batters from Lava of a really nice hit with a great catch!! Brett, Mike, Brandon, Nate and Brian Lueken in the outfield. Let me tell you, too many balls don’t get past them!!

We don’t play next Thursday, I guess we could really use the rest. Our next game is the following Thursday, Oct. 20th. We play CGI-AMS. Same time, same place. I encourage you to come and root us on. I guarantee you will have a good time.
